Tory Keomanivong was born in Laos, immigrated to America at age 11, and spent his teenage years living in Willows, CA where he held various after-school jobs from paperboy to beekeeper to road construction. After moving to Philadelphia with his family when he was 17, Tory started his career in the food industry as a Banquet Stewart at the Bellevue Hotel, and moved on to Founders Restaurant at The Bellevue where he rapidly worked his way up from busboy to waiter. After 15 successful years at The Bellevue, Tory accepted a job as a waiter at Lacroix, where he met Lee Styer and the two quickly became great friends. Tory left Lacroix to open Fond in August 2009 with Lee Styer and Jessie Prawlucki.
